Made4aid is a project started in June 2009, raising money for charity through online sale of handcrafted items. The items for sale are donated by crafters and artists (amateur and professional) throughout the world or by anyone who has handmade items (new or vintage) to give. All proceeds go to charitable work and aid.
The organisation is run by volunteers and is entirely non-profit-making.
Please note that we are not connected with made4aid on twitter, who started using "made4aid" in January 2014.
Money Raised So Far - how much and where does it go?
TOTAL - £11528 raised by made4aid so far, as of 28 February 2022. This has been through 803 online sales, and a number of direct sales (personal, events etc.).
From October 2009 to March 2010, £1820 was donated to the World Food Programme for work in Darfur, and for Haiti emergency relief.
Between May and July 2011 £163 was donated for the Japan earthquake relief effort, via the Japanese Embassy in London and British Red Cross.
Thank you so much everyone who is supporting us by donating items, publicising us in any way and by buying from us.

Congratulations. I will be done with my mourning period pretty soon and when you open again, stop by for a quick visit and I will post something about it and then ask others again to help. Maybe I will repost that poem I did when you launched it the first time. Or change it, or write a new beginning one.
And Sally it looks like you had a great vacation and not everyone gets to "really" SEE the other side in their lifetime. You are very blessed to be able to do so. And then someone will soon be blessed because you could see.
