Vintage egg cosy - SOLD

This is such a sweet little item - its a cosy for keeping a soft-boiled egg warm. Warm and, no doubt, cosy. Perfect for breakfasts in bed or al fresco... And if you don't have any egg cups, this would be the ideal excuse to go and buy one!

My father used to have a double-branched egg cup that held 2 boiled eggs and I remember making egg-cosies for him when I was a child. I'm not sure any of them were as nicely made and finished as this one though. It is in good-as-new condition.

Here it is modelled by an egg, in partnership with 3 of our favourite egg-cups (egg cups not included in this auction).

It is very nicely made by hand from a fine, lawn-type cotton fabric with little flower sprigs, and it has a little loop-tag at the top, and it is also fully lined. The cosy is 4 inches/10cm tall and 3.5inches/9cm wide when measured flat.

The auction begins at 9 am on Wednesday July 29th and will end at 9am on Wednesday, August 5th, London time. The highest bidder before that time will win.

Can we start bids please at £2.00?

Postage would be: UK - £0.50; Europe - £0.80; the rest of the world - £1.30.
