Handwoven shoulder bag - moss and lime - SOLD

This auction is for a little shoulder bag, handwoven on a table top loom.
The warp threads (the vertical ones) are soft cotton in pastel shades of blue, green, cream and pink. The weft is another matter entirely, being a contrasting mix of yarns and colours in a range of greens from lime to darker mossy green and with some deep rose pink contrast.
This is a fairly textured weave - the weave pattern itself is textured, and the weft yarns include chenille, textured novelty yarn, boucle and silky threads.
The handles, which are long enough to wear over the shoulder, were woven on an inkle loom.
The bag is fully lined with vintage fabric, a crisp white and green cotton print, with a little internal pocket.
It is finished by hand with a vintage button and a little plaited button loop fastening.
Woven predominantly in cotton, this bag will be durable and is washable by hand.
The dimensions of the bag are approximately: 10.5 inches/26.5cm wide; 9.5/23.5cm deep; handles 24.5/62cm long.
Bids start at £20.00.
Postage would be: UK - £1.60; Europe - £1.90; Rest of the world - £3.00. Postage is free on items which sell for over £50.00.
The auction begins at 09.00 Monday 22nd June, 2009 and will end at 0.900am Saturday 4th July, 2009, London time. The highest bidder before that time will win.
