Dark tears necklace - SOLD

"Dark Tears is made in two woods, African Blackwood (Dalbergia Melanoxylon) from Tanzania, has been used to make the two teardrop shapes on the outside and Violetta Kingwood (Dalbergia Congestiflora) from Mexico, forms the central tear. As can be told from the scientific names for these woods, they are of the same genus, but have difference appearance. Mounted on an antiqued silver chain to complement the darkness of the woods."

The necklace was designed and handmade by Neil Graham, of Natural Wood Jewellery & Gifts of Nottingham, (www.woodjewellery.folksy.com).

The grain, shape, texture, sheen and feel of these smooth wooden teardrops are simply beautiful and we are grateful to Neil Graham for donating this item which is lovely to wear and to look at.

The length of the necklace is approximately 18 inches/46cm, and the teardrops are 2 inches/5cm long and 1.25inches/3cm across at the widest point.
