This is my version of the long skinny cable scarf which we sold on made4aid last month - its hand knitted in pastel shades just like neopolitan ice cream - cream, pink, and pale and darker browns.
This is a long and skinny scarf - perfect for just taking the edge off those chilly autumn days ahead for some of us, for wrapping round and round your neck and kicking through the blustery leaves.
This is a bit chunkier and thicker than the original - and I've used a mix of yarns, using up left-over bits and pieces, some of which are hand-spun. The yarns here include wool, silk, alpaca and chenille - and the mix of silkiness and velvet in with the wool makes this scarf very soft and warm.
Each colour section has a different kind of cable stitch.
The scarf measures approximately 89 inches/225cm long and 2.5inches/6.5cm wide.
Could we start bids for this at $15 please?

Well, you are just a devil. Instead of bidding (just yet), I shall feature on GG. And then if no one bites quickly, I shall. I've got to control myself. But I was so sad to "lose" this before.
ReplyDeleteI've gone from buying not a thing to -- eek. Still, I just know that I've no time to knit (all the yarn I found in closet clearout) right now.
