Handwoven shoulder bag - sea green

This auction is for a little shoulder bag, handwoven on a table top loom.

The warp threads (the vertical ones) are soft cotton in pastel shades of blue, green, cream and pink. This is a fairly textured weave - the weave pattern itself is textured, and the weft yarns include chenille, shiny ribbon and fabric strips in sea greens, aqua and teal.

The handles, which are long enough to wear over the shoulder, are made from a sturdy combination of yarn, fabric strips and ribbon plaited together.

The bag is fully lined with a remnant of cotton seersucker, with a little internal pocket.

It is finished by hand with a vintage button and a little plaited button loop fastening.

Woven mainly in cotton, this bag is quite soft but it will be durable and its washable by hand.
